On Lots Road in Chelsea, the 606 Club has been a fixture of London’s jazz scene since the 1970s. Hidden behind an unmarked door, the basement space feels like a secret — low ceilings, candlelit tables, and music that fills every corner. The club hosts live performances almost every night, with a focus on British jazz musicians across generations.
It’s the intimacy that makes it special: you’re close enough to see the play between musicians, to feel the improvisation unfold. The food and drink are part of the evening, but the main draw is the atmosphere — warm, unpretentious, and always alive with music.
